Steps to create and download .p8 file

Upgrade to .p8 file for uninterrupted Push Notifications and avoid future expiration issues.

  1. Log in to App Store Connect

    1. Go to https://developer.apple.com, and sign in with your Apple Developer Account credentials.

  2. Click on Keys

  3. Click the "+" (Add) button next to Keys.
    ​

    1. In Key Name, enter a name (e.g., Push Notification Key).

    2. Select "Apple Push Notifications service (APNs)".

    3. Click on the "Configure" button.
      ​

  4. Choose the "Production" option from the dropdown in Environment and click "Save".

  5. Click on the "Continue" button.
    ​

  6. Review the information, and click on the "Register" button.
    ​

  7. Download the .p8 File

    1. Once the key is created, you’ll see a "Download" button.

    2. Click Download — this gives you a .p8 file.
      ⚠️ Important: You can download it only once. Keep it safe.
      ​

  8. Note the Key ID (shown in the Keys list)

  9. Share the downloaded .p8 file and the Key ID with us at support@apptile.com
