How to Create a Custom Push Notification

This guide walks you through how to set up and send a custom push notification campaign using Apptile.

Devices Required

  • Desktop – Access the Apptile Dashboard

  1. Navigate to Notifications and click Create New.

  2. Create the content for your notification

    1. Title – Appears in bold and is used to capture attention. You can include questions, emojis, or exciting announcements.

    2. Body – The main text of your notification. Use it to highlight promotions, product launches, sales events, or important updates.

    3. (Optional) Add an image for the notification. If an image is not added, brand logo is default image.

    4. (Optional) Select any specific Customer Segment (segments are fetched from Shopify). Only available on PLUS and above plans.

    5. Take user redirects the notification to the homepage by default, but you can also add a deep link to direct users to a specific product, collection, homepage, or any other page within the app.

Send or Schedule Your Push Notification

Once your campaign is ready, you can either:

  1. Click Send to immediately send the notification.

  2. Click Schedule to send it at a later time.

Click on Send Now or Schedule.

Best Practices

  • Use behavior-based segmentation to send more personalized and relevant notifications

  • Keep headlines short and attention-grabbing

  • Always add a deep link so users land on the most relevant page

  • Schedule campaigns in advance for planned sales events or product launches
