Step-by-step guide to integrate Meta with Apptile

What is Meta SDK?

The Meta SDK allows merchants to track specific data based on user behavior in the app. The integration is available to all Apptile customers who have a Meta Developer Account. If you don’t have a Meta Developer Account, you can easily create one here. Kindly note that your iOS and Android apps will need to be published to complete the integration setup.

How to Connect Meta + Apptile?

This integration can be used by any Apptile customer on our Plus / Enterprise plans. To activate it, we need your Meta App ID and Client Token.

Before you start

You need to be registered as a Meta developer and logged in. If this is your first time, go to developers.facebook.com, click Get Started, and complete the developer registration.

Step 1: Create your Meta app

  1. Go to https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ and log in with your Meta account.

    1. Click on "Create App"

  2. App details: Enter your App name and a contact email address, then click Next.

  3. Use cases: Scroll down and select Other, then click Next.

  4. App type: Select Consumer and click Next.

  5. Business portfolio: You can connect a business portfolio.

  6. Click Create app. Your new app will open in the Meta app Dashboard.

Step 2: Copy your App ID and Client Token

  1. Copy the App ID, shown under your app name at the top of the Dashboard.

  2. In the left menu, go to App settings and select Advanced.

  3. Scroll down to the Security section and copy the Client token.

Step 3: Send the details to Apptile

Email your App ID and Client Token to support@apptile.com, and we will enable the integration for you.

Adding Meta Ads and Business ID to your Meta App

  1. Open your Meta Ads Manager account and select your name to find your Ad Account ID.

  2. Copy the Account ID and go to your Meta Developer account.

  3. Open your app, go to App settings, and select Advanced.

  4. Scroll down to Advertising Accounts and enter your Ad Account ID in the Authorized ad account IDs field.

  5. If multiple people manage your Meta Ads, you can also add your Business Account ID under Authorized Businesses. This is optional.

  6. Click Save changes, and you're done!
