The current settings and steps for enabling and configuring the Tile Credit Launcher on your Shopify storefront.
The Tile Credit Launcher is a small floating pill on your storefront that shows a signed-in customer their Tile Credit balance and lets them redeem some of it into their current cart as a Shopify gift card. It is the recommended way to expose store-credit / loyalty balances on your storefront.
Step 1 — Get Tile Credit Enabled
In your Apptile dashboard, go to Integrations and connect the Loyalty & Rewards integration. This is a one-time setup that provisions the Tile Credit service for your store — it encrypts and stores the credentials Tile Credit needs to talk to Shopify, and registers the Shopify webhooks used to award credit on order events.
Wait a couple of minutes for the connection to complete. If DNS is being provisioned for your app proxy for the first time, initial availability can take up to an hour.
Step 2 — Enable the App Embed on the Storefront (Shopify Theme Editor)
In your Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
Next to your live theme, click Customize.
In the left rail of the theme editor, click App embeds (the puzzle-piece icon).
Find Tile Credit — Launcher in the list and toggle it on.
Step 3 — Configure Appearance
With the embed toggled on, open its settings panel:
Launcher label — the text shown on the pill. Default: Tile Credit.
Brand color — the pill's background color in light mode.
Brand color (dark) — the pill's background color in dark mode.
Text color on brand — the pill's foreground text color.
Show balance chip — display the customer's current balance next to the label. Default: on.
Position — where on the page the pill sits. Options: Bottom right, Bottom left.
Powered-by footer — show the "Powered by Apptile" line in the slide-in panel. Default: on.
Step 4 — Configure Behavior
Minimum redemption (in cents) — the smallest amount a customer may redeem in a single request. Enter the value in cents; e.g.
500= ₹5 / $5 / €5 depending on your shop currency. Default: 500.Custom CSS (optional) — for merchants with a developer on hand. Any CSS you paste here is injected on every storefront page; scope your rules to the
.apptile-tcl…selectors to avoid affecting the rest of your theme.Click Save at the top right.
Step 5 — Verify
Sign in to your storefront as a customer that has a Tile Credit balance.
Confirm the launcher pill appears in the corner you chose, and — if you left the balance chip on — that the correct balance is displayed.
Open the panel and redeem an amount ≥ your minimum-redemption setting. A Shopify gift card should be generated and auto-applied to the cart, and the cart page should reload with the discount reflected in the total.
If a shopper is not signed in, the panel shows a placeholder prompting them to log in — this is expected.
Step 6 — Best Practices
Use only one Tile Credit surface on your storefront. If your theme has the older Tile credit — cart block section added manually, remove it before enabling the Launcher, or the two will conflict.
Keep the minimum-redemption value at a sensible floor for your store currency. Very low minimums produce a large number of small gift cards and cluttered order histories.
Gift-card codes generated by Tile Credit are shown to the customer once at the time of redemption. Only the last four characters are stored on our side — remind support staff not to promise code recovery on old redemptions.
You're Ready
The Launcher is now live. Every signed-in customer will see their Tile Credit balance and can redeem into the cart with a single click.
