Cashback rewards shoppers with store credit when they buy. Pair it with a live show to give viewers a reason to buy during the stream, for example, "10% back on everything in tonight's show". Cashback rules live in the Apptile Loyalty & Rewards integration.
Before you start
If you want the cashback to cover only the show's products, put them in a selection first: in Product Assist, tick the products and click Push to live. When creating a live cashback, you need to have the live created first; then it will show up in the list of the upcoming lives.
Step 1: Open Loyalty & Rewards
In your Apptile dashboard, click Integrations in the left menu.
Under My Integrations, find Apptile Loyalty & Rewards and click Manage.
Open the Rules tab and click Create campaign. If this is your first rule, you can also use Create rule in the middle of the page.
Step 2: Set up the cashback campaign
As you fill in the form, the Summary card on the right updates to describe what shoppers will get, for example "Shoppers get 10% store credit on selected products".
Campaign type: choose Order. This rewards eligible orders. Signup is for welcome bonuses.
Campaign name: name it after the show so it's easy to find later, for example "Tuesday Live – 10% back".
Applies to: choose what qualifies for cashback:
Specific selections: best for a live session. Pick the show's selection under Selections and click + Add all. Its products appear under Selected, and you can remove any you want to leave out.
Specific products or Specific collections: pick individual products or whole collections.
Order value: any order over a Minimum spend. Enter 0 for no minimum.
Where it applies:
Live shows and their replays: cashback is only earned on purchases made from a live show or its replay. Pick this for show-only cashback.
All orders: cashback is earned on the qualifying products wherever they're bought.
Reward type: choose Percentage (for example 10%) or Fixed amount (a set amount of store credit), then enter the value.
Store credit expiry (optional): turn this on to make the credit expire after a set number of days. That nudges shoppers to come back and spend it.
Schedule: set the Start date and time to when your show begins. Tick Set end date and time to stop the offer automatically, for example a day after the show so replay viewers can still qualify.
Allow returns on items that earn this cashback: leave this off and items bought with this cashback are final sale. Turn it on if those items should stay returnable.
Make sure Active is on. Inactive rules don't award credit.
Click Create campaign.
Step 3: Check the rule is live
You'll see Rule created, and the campaign appears under Rules you manage with its reward. The Issued and Redeemed columns fill in as shoppers earn and spend credit. Use the toggle on the right to pause or resume the rule at any time.
How cashback works with returns in your show
When you create a livestream, the Returns for items bought in this show setting decides whether show purchases can be returned.
Use each product's setting
Allow returns
Final sale (no returns).
Items that earn cashback are final sale, whatever this setting says, unless the cashback rule has Allow returns on items that earn this cashback turned on.
Tips for a great cashback show
Mention the offer early and often on the stream, and put it in the show title so it shows up in notifications.
Turn on Notify followers when you create the show so shoppers know a cashback offer is coming.
Check the Overview tab in Loyalty & Rewards for When to give cashback, which controls whether credit is issued when an order is paid or later.
Track how the offer performed on the Customers tab, where you can see and adjust each shopper's balance.
