Designing your app on Apptile is as easy and quick as using MS Paint! This means that even with little to no design experience, you can create a professional-looking and aesthetically pleasing mobile app.

Our automated tiles and design elements can be fully customized to fit in your brand's specific needs and help you create a unique identity. This includes options for choosing color schemes, typography, and layout, as well as incorporating branding elements such as logos and images.

Now, before we get started, let’s look at the most crucial design elements within the Apptile dashboard and learn how you can customize them:

Logo

Your app's logo is an image that displays in the top header of your app’s homepage. It is a visual representation of your app's purpose, values, and personality, and helps to create an emotional connection with users. A well-designed app logo should be simple, distinctive, and memorable, making it easy for users to recognize your app in a crowded marketplace.

Brand Colors

Customize the colors of your app to deliver a cohesive and dynamic user experience. Choosing the right color palette can help evoke emotions and create a memorable and recognizable brand image. On Apptile, you can customize your app’s primary, secondary, and background colors from the given color palette or enter the hex code.

  • Primary: This is the main color of the CTA’s and other primary buttons of your app, such as ‘Add to cart’.

  • Secondary: This is the color of the price variant and other icons of your app.

  • Background: This is the background color of your app.

Pro tip: Using consistent and complementary colors across the app can enhance the user's immersion and engagement, creating a more satisfying and enjoyable experience.

Text Colors

The choice of text colors and fonts in a mobile app is an essential element of app design. The text colors and fonts can impact the app's readability, usability, and overall user experience. Similar to brand colors, you can customize your text’s primary, secondary, and background colors from our given pre-set palette or enter the hex code.

  • Primary: This is the main color of the text that will appear on the primary brand color. The selected text color will appear under CTA’s and other primary buttons of your app, such as ‘Add to cart’.

  • Secondary: This text color will appear on the secondary brand color.

  • Background: This is the default text color throughout the app.

Pro tip:

  • The color of the text should contrast well with the background color to ensure that it is legible and easy to read. For example, using black text on a white background provides a high contrast and is easy to read.

  • The font should be easy to read and consistent across the app to ensure a cohesive experience.

  • It is important to consider the size of the font as well, as smaller fonts can be challenging to read on mobile devices.

Text Styles

Your selected brand fonts will appear across your app. Text styles or fonts in are an important aspect of app design that can impact your app's usability, readability, and overall user experience.

You can choose from our wide range of fonts including sans-serif, serif, script, and display fonts or upload your preferred font under the ‘Fonts’ section in the brand design dashboard. After selecting the font, you can further adjust the thickness of the text, size, height and even spacing.

  • Heading: Headings are the text style used to indicate the titles or sections of content in your mobile app. They are larger and more prominent than the body text, and are used to highlight different sections or categories within the app. Use the heading text to indicate more important or higher-level content, and sub-headings for sub-sections or less critical information.

  • Subheading: Subheadings are the text style used to provide additional context or detail under a main heading in a mobile app. They are typically smaller than the main heading, but larger than the body text, and are used to break up content into smaller, more manageable sections. For instance, Heading - Women's Clothing; Subheading - Dresses

  • Body: Body text is the main content that appears under the headings and subheadings. It typically contains the majority of the information provided in the app, such as descriptions of products or services, articles, instructions, and more.
