Apptile Live lets you stream and sell products live on your app, your Shopify website, and Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube at the same time. You can go live from the desktop Live Dashboard or from the Apptile Live (Broadcaster) app on your phone.
The flow at a glance:
Set up — log in to the Live Dashboard, connect your social channels, install the Apptile Live app.
Create and schedule a stream — topic, description, thumbnail, channels, date and time, products.
Join as Host to go live; a teammate can Join as Moderator to run products and comments.
Engage and sell — switch products, reply to comments, run polls, giveaways and auctions, watch sales come in.
Recommended setup: create the stream on the desktop dashboard, go live as Host from the mobile app, and have a teammate moderate from desktop. Use Chrome for the best experience.
Step 1: Set up Apptile Live (one-time)
Do this once before your first stream.
Log in to the Live Dashboard
In the Apptile dashboard, click Live in the left panel.
Log in with the email linked to your Shopify account and the password the Apptile team shares with you. No password? Email support@apptile.com.
Set up your Live Settings
In the Live Dashboard, go to Settings → Live.
Viewer multiplier (3x): Raises the viewer count shoppers see, so 100 real viewers show as 300. It's social proof, and 1x shows the real number.
Reactions type (Multiple): Viewers can send several kinds of reactions (❤️ 😂 🔥) instead of just one heart.
Video clip update strategy: Picks which auto-generated clip from your live show is featured on each product page:
Latest: each new clip replaces the old one.
First only: the first clip stays featured permanently.
Never: you pick the clip yourself.
Streaming thumbnail: The default cover image for your live shows. Use JPG or PNG at 16:9, ideally 1280×720.
Connect your social channels
In the Live Dashboard, go to Settings → Channels. Connect each platform you want to stream to and grant every permission Apptile asks for.
Facebook - click Connect with Facebook. All your Pages then appear under Stream To Facebook; you can stream to one or several at once.
Instagram - click Connect with Instagram.
TikTok - click Connect with TikTok.
YouTube - click Connect with YouTube. The channel must be verified and enabled for live streaming, which can take up to 24 hours on a new channel.
Install the Apptile Live app
Download the Apptile Live (Broadcaster) app on iOS or Android and log in with the same credentials as the Live Dashboard.
FAQ
Can I go live only from my phone? Yes. Create the stream and host it in the Apptile Live app. You'll miss scheduling reminders and variant selection, which are desktop-only.
I don't have a Live Dashboard password. The Apptile team shares it. Email support@apptile.com if you haven't received it.
My Instagram stream ended suddenly. Don't use the Instagram account on any other device while live, keep the camera on, avoid copyrighted music, and keep 2FA on with this device marked as trusted. Frequent username or password changes can also block streaming.
My stream was blurry. Check your upload speed. If it happens again, send support@apptile.com the date and time of the stream.
