Step-by-step guide to enable new region marketing via Shopify.

After expanding your app's availability to new regions, it's essential to concentrate on targeted marketing strategies that offer incentives to drive downloads in those regions.

Steps to follow:

  1. Log in to your Shopify dashboard.

  2. Go to ‘Customers’ and select 'Create Segments' under the ‘All customers’ panel.

  3. Create a new user segment for the region you want to target using the location based filters available by default. For example, you can add a city/state/country as a new region.

  4. Now, login to your Apptile dashboard and click on ‘Notifications’.

  5. Next, select ‘Specific users’ under the ‘Who is your audience’ tab.

  6. Under the ‘Select your Shopify user segment’ tab, choose the new user segment you just created to send the push notification to all your app users based in the new region.

Here are some best practices to promote your new region:

  • Use language that emphasizes 'New Features' and 'Enhancements' in your campaign to encourage customers to download the new app specific to their region.

  • Display a static banner on the homepage or cart of your original app for a few weeks after announcing the new app.

  • Note that the focus is on converting existing active users to their respective regions, while new users will automatically find their regions in the App and Google Play Stores.
